“We don’t need another government review to tell us what we should be aiming at. What we do need, however, is a practical, co-ordinated plan for getting there. Uptake of school lunches in secondary schools is only 38%, and 44% in primary schools. Half of secondary schools offer pizzas and starchy food cooked in oil on most days. A third of young people are not choosing a healthy balanced meal. No school in the land wants its children to eat bad food, so the question is: what is holding them back?” (more)
