“Unfortunately, though the demand for global-minded leaders is higher than ever, they are in short supply among both those in the workforce and those just entering. In a 2017 CBI/Pearson Education and Skills survey (pdf) in the United Kingdom, only 34 percent of responding employers were satisfied with applicants’ foreign-language skills.
