“Over the next three months, beginning as soon as Tuesday, 300,000 Oregon students will take standardized reading, writing and math tests that are far different from what most have faced before. Smarter Balanced tests, designed to show how well students have been taught the skills they need to be on track for college, will ask students to do more complex thinking and show greater independence than required by Oregon’s previous reading and math tests.”(more)
