“It is not just that Americans should learn to speak foreign languages. Americans should learn other languages to help broaden our perspective of the world. This is not a change that will happen over night. In order to make the change, we would have to have foreign language as part of our curriculum all through our school years. If we start learning foreign languages at a younger age, we will be able to be more fluent…Learning a second language will show that we are more open to the outside world…As Americans I believe that we should widen our horizons with learning at least one other language. This would help our society become what it should be, more accepting and cultured. “(more)
