“As a sub in different classrooms, I get the impression many students aren’t challenged hard enough or often enough. And they have such an aversion to doing work or thinking, for goodness’ sake! It seems like a foreign concept to some. Of course, some kids are going to be lax about their learning no matter what, but I think a lot of cases are just that they are not in the habit of pushing themselves mentally.”(more)
