The Herald-Sun – Cheryl Critchley

“A child might resist school for a range of other reasons — some serious, like being bullied, and some not so serious, such as the weather or the fact it’s his or her birthday. For the many parents who face this problem, the result can be a seriously strained relationship with the child. These students won’t go to school and no amount of cajoling can get them there. Unlike wagging, where kids pretend to go to school but instead disappear to the shops or park, they openly express their displeasure for school.”(more)
